This section establishes the exact meaning of the terms used on the Bikeintw website, to eliminate any ambiguity in the interpretation of offers, descriptions, and sales conditions. All definitions below are an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions.

1. Premium Urban Bicycle

By "premium urban bicycle" we mean a two-wheeled vehicle, intended exclusively for travel on paved public roads, having a frame made of aluminum, chromoly steel, or heat-treated steel, equipped with components from recognized manufacturers (Shimano, SRAM, Magura) and high-quality finishes. This category does not include mountain bikes, racing bikes, electric scooters, or internal combustion engine vehicles.

  • The frame must be painted in matte colors (asphalt gray, pure white, carbon black) or metallic colors approved by Bikeintw.
  • The maximum allowed weight of the bicycle (including accessories) is 25 kg for electric models and 18 kg for classic ones.
  • The bicycle must comply with European standards EN 15194 for electric bicycles and EN 14764 for city bicycles.

2. Battery Range and Performance

The declared range for Bikeintw electric bicycles (e.g., Urban E1 – up to 80 km, Cargo X1 – up to 60 km) represents an estimate based on standardized test conditions: flat terrain, average speed of 15 km/h, medium pedal assistance level, outside temperature of 20°C, rider weight of 75 kg, and no additional load. Actual range may vary significantly depending on riding style, total weight, tire pressure, wind, temperature, and battery condition.

  • Delivered batteries are new, with a minimum capacity of 80% of the nominal value at first use.
  • The battery warranty covers manufacturing defects but not the natural degradation of capacity below 70% after 500 complete charge cycles.
  • The included charger is specific to each model and should not be used with other batteries.

3. 3D Visual Configurator

The 3D configurator available on the website is for informational and presentation purposes. The colors, textures, and accessory combinations displayed on the screen may differ slightly from the final product due to monitor calibration, lighting, and the manufacturing process. Bikeintw strives to represent reality as faithfully as possible but cannot guarantee an exact 100% match between the digital image and the physical product.

  • The configurator does not generate firm orders; the final selection must be confirmed in the shopping cart.
  • Customization options (frame color, tire type, accessories) are limited to the stock available at the time of placing the order.
  • Bikeintw reserves the right to modify or withdraw options from the configurator without prior notice.

4. Delivery and Assembly

All bicycles are delivered in a special box, partially assembled (wheels removed, handlebar unfixed, pedals separate). Final assembly and fine adjustments (brakes, derailleur, tire pressure) are the responsibility of the buyer or an authorized service center. Bikeintw does not offer home assembly services but provides a detailed video guide and telephone assistance for assembly.

  • The estimated delivery time is 3-7 working days for in-stock products and 10-20 working days for pre-ordered ones.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and do not include additional customs duties for deliveries outside Romania.
  • Bikeintw is not liable for delays caused by the courier or force majeure.

5. Warranty and Service

Bikeintw bicycles benefit from a legal conformity warranty of 2 years from the delivery date, according to Romanian legislation. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects but not normal wear and tear (brake pads, chain, tires, cables), damage caused by accidents, improper use, unauthorized modifications, or lack of regular maintenance.

  • To benefit from the warranty, presenting the invoice and the correctly completed warranty certificate is mandatory.
  • The authorized Bikeintw service center is located at Aleea Frasinului 3A. Appointments are made at 0788442815 or by email at info@bikeintw.com.
  • In the event of a defect covered by the warranty, Bikeintw will repair or replace the product within a maximum of 30 calendar days.

6. Return Policy

According to Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014, consumers have the right to return the product within 14 days of receipt, without stating a reason. Return costs are borne by the buyer, and the bicycle must be returned in the same condition as delivered, with all original accessories and documents. Bikeintw may deduct an amount from the refunded value if the product shows signs of excessive use or damage.

  • Returns are made exclusively based on a completed return form sent to info@bikeintw.com.
  • Bikeintw will refund the product value within a maximum of 14 days from receiving the returned package.
  • Customized products (special colors, factory-mounted accessories) cannot be returned unless they have manufacturing defects.
